Rajiv Gandhi Basava Vasati Yojana 2025 ಬಸವ ವಸತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮನೆ is an important housing scheme launched by the Karnataka state government. It is also known as Ashraya Yojana. It aims to provide affordable and accessible housing to economically weaker sections (EWS) and underprivileged households in rural & urban areas. The scheme was implemented by Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL) in the year 2000. • Eligible beneficiaries are provided with housing assistance at a much lower rate than the market rate or free of cost so that they can build their own house.
• If the beneficiary has land or a kutcha house, the government provides up to 85% of the raw material required free of cost.
• The money under the scheme is transferred quickly to the beneficiaries’ accounts, so that the construction proceeds smoothly.
• Getting a stable pucca house adds facilities like clean water, electricity, sanitation, etc., which improves the standard of living.
• Easy houses are provided especially to vulnerable groups like BPL, SC/ST/OBC, widows, the disabled, the elderly, and brave underprivileged.

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka state.
• The applicant must be from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) or Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
• The annual family income of the rural area should be ₹32,000 or less.
• The annual family income of an urban area should be ₹87,600 or less.
• The applicant should not have a pucca house in any part of India.
• The applicant must have their land or be living in a kuchcha house.

• To apply for the scheme, visit the official website.
• Now, find the Basava Vasati section on the homepage and click on the “Apply Online” button.
• Enter your Aadhaar number and verify the identity by OTP.
• After logging in, fill in the details like Aadhaar, name, address, contact, income, etc.
• Now upload all the required documents like Aadhaar Card, BPL Card, Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC), etc.
• After filling the form and uploading the documents, press the Submit button. On successful submission, an Acknowledgement Slip will be received.
• Select the Beneficiary Status or Basava Vasati Yojana List option on the homepage.
• Enter your Beneficiary Code, District, etc., and click on Submit
